I was so honored last week to have my fashion bridal shoot featured on Fashionably Wed. (http://www.fashionablywedblog.com/2011/03/bridal-inspiration.html?spref=fb)
This was such a fun shoot, and took quite a while for me to pull together due to my traveling schedule. Some of these photos are going to be used for advertising Event 1013, which I am also super stoked about. Lots of good things happening in terms of business lately, and I am just so thankful. I’m thankful for supportive friends and family, my TOTALLY GREAT CLIENTS, and my husband who has pushed me to follow this dream (and a few others I’ll be sharing with you shortly). We’re climbing mountains over here!!
I just received film back from an out of this world bridal fashion shoot i did back in January. Richards Photo Lab KILLED it. The color is spot on and downloading from their FTP site was super easy. Customer for life indeed but since they are in CA, add about a week to my turn around time.
Although I can’t post the pictures yet because i submitted the photos to the wedding blogs, Style Me Pretty and Southern Weddings, I did want to give a shout out to my wonderful vendors & models. Everyone gave of their time and expertise in a very professional manner and it wouldn’t have been such a success without them.
Sweet, sweet 1 year old portraits for baby A. Isn’t she sweet? Contax 645, 400 Neopan and fuji 800z processed by BWC Printing in Dallas and I scanned them at home.

I’ve REALLY been wanting to shoot more senior portraits, so I was ecstatic when H’s mom contacted me. This girl is so poised and pulled together, and not to mention beautiful!! She has a bright future ahead of her and is applying to colleges in my home state of Virginia to study pre-law.
We shot these around downtown Mckinney: some on the library steps and grounds, a few on the square, and finally at Finch Park where that AMAZING tree was filled with the most beautiful morning light. The last picture was one that I took of H and her mom towards the end of the session, and it just blows me away. I want to capture more moments like that one. Most of us have whirlwind schedules, and alot of times the first on the chopping block when there is a time conflict is our family time. And when we do commit to time with our families, it’s usually penciled in 30 minute increments between the soccer practices and girl scouts. I mean c’mon. A pen would be too risky. At least you can erase pencil!
Here rolls in the holiday season, and we try to squeeze a whole year of visits into a few days. Honestly, with all the preparation of the food, wrapping of gifts, decorating, and MORE food (hey, this is America), it’s still a pretty sorry excuse of a REAL family “easy like Sunday morning” visit.
I’m missing some crucial pieces of my family puzzle this year, and it looks like it’s going to be another holiday season without them. So, I’m going to love the ones I’m with and SLOW DOWN. I’ll try not to go over the top with the food preparations (helps that my husband is vegan) and I will say “Yes” when the store clerk asks if I would like my purchase wrapped in that creepy looking santa store wrapping paper. I suggest you do the same…oh, and don’t forget to book your family portrait session (had to get that plug in). Pics make great holiday gifts. See, that’s a time saver right there!!
I’m taking my own bait, and am on the hunt for a photographer to take our family pics. I mean when we all get too busy again to spend REAL time with our families, at least we can look at them on our wall as we’re running out the door. 
Let the holiday mania begin!

This is a teaser pic from a one year old session I did this week. This family is just the coolest and the last addition to their happy brood is no different!! We went to the park and just had fun for a few hours. I had a couple spots picked out and set-up, bubbles, hand puppets, apples, and of course…the cupcake. This picture symbolizes all that is 1, which is messy eating and lots of chubby, soft rolls!! Don’t get me started on those eyelashes, either!!
